Introduced in 1992, the Cohiba Siglo IV commemorates the 500th anniversary of Christopher Columbus’s arrival in Cuba. This cigar remained exclusive to Cuba for two years due to its extended maturation process. Cohiba cigars undergo three fermentation stages, including a proprietary third fermentation unique to Cuban production, which refines the tobacco’s flavor and combustion characteristics.
The Siglo IV measures 46 ring gauge by 143mm, classified as a Corona Gorda vitola. Its flavor profile progresses from initial creamy and floral notes to mid-smoke mocha and coffee bean undertones, supported by a medium-strength tobacco core. The construction mirrors other cigars in the Siglo series, featuring a tightly rolled cap and uniform ash formation.
