Vegueros Cigars

Vegueros cigars originate from Cuba, named after the tobacco farmers who cultivate the leaves used in Cuban cigar production. Initially crafted for domestic consumption, these cigars were later introduced to international markets.

Product Line

Vegueros cigars are available in multiple vitolas (sizes) as single sticks or bundled packs. All cigars feature totalmente a mano (totally handmade) construction with long filler tobacco.

Flavor Characteristics

The blend delivers medium to full-bodied intensity with dominant flavor notes of:

  • Earthy tones
  • Fresh grass
  • Black pepper finish

Design Features

The brand underwent packaging redesigns in recent decades, adopting modernized bands and boxes while maintaining traditional Cuban craftsmanship standards. Vegueros uses tapado (covered) cultivation methods for its wrapper leaves, a technique common in Vuelta Abajo tobacco-growing regions.

Current production occurs at the Francisco Donatién factory in Pinar del Río province. These cigars are positioned as accessible premium options within Habanos S.A.'s portfolio, using the same quality controls as other Cuban marcas.
