Capri Cigarettes

Capri Cigarettes, introduced in 1956 by Lee Brothers Tobacco under the name "Capri Rainbows," initially featured multicolored cigarette papers. Relaunched in 1987 by Brown & Williamson as the world's first super slim cigarette, Capri Cigarettes target female smokers with a 17mm circumference, narrower than standard slim (23mm) and conventional (25mm) cigarettes. The brand offers multiple variants including regular, light, menthol light, and ultra-light options, available in 100mm and 120mm lengths. Capri Cigarettes use fine tobacco blends and maintain a slim profile, aligning with its design focus on elegance and lightweight smoking experiences. Manufactured by Reynolds American since the 2004 merger of R.J. Reynolds and Brown & Williamson, the product line emphasizes menthol and non-menthol varieties to cater to diverse preferences.
Other details: Capri Cigarettes were marketed with slogans like "The slimmest slim in town" (1988) and "There is no slimmer way to smoke" (1994). Originally sold in the U.S., distribution expanded to Mexico, Germany (as "Caprice"), Italy, and Japan. The brand's initial multicolored paper design was discontinued after its repositioning as a super slim product. Reynolds American continues production using standardized tobacco processing methods.
