The Cohiba Siglo VI Cigar (6th Century) was released in 2002 to commemorate the 500th anniversary of Columbus’ arrival in Cuba. Measuring 150mm (5 7/8") with a 52-ring gauge, this Robusto Extra features a Corojo wrapper leaf and contains tobacco from Cuba’s Vuelta Abajo region. Classified as medium-to-full strength, it uses leaves aged through Cohiba’s dual fermentation process.
Packaged in an aluminum tube for freshness protection, the Cohiba Siglo VI Cigar displays these characteristics:
- Primary flavor notes of earth and roasted coffee
- Secondary hints of cocoa and cedar
- Creamy texture with occasional sweet undertones
The open draw produces consistent smoke output, maintaining combustion stability. Rolled by master torcedores at El Laguito factory, the construction features a triple-seam cap for clean cuts. Tobacco selection follows Cohiba’s strict standards for wrapper color consistency and filler blending.
As the largest vitola in the Siglo series, the Cohiba Siglo VI Cigar requires 45-60 minutes to smoke fully. Its tube packaging makes it suitable for travel or humidor-free short-term storage.
