The Cohiba Siglo IV debuted in 1992 alongside five other Siglo series cigars to mark the 500th anniversary of Columbus’s arrival in Cuba. This Cuban cigar became internationally available in 1994 after undergoing a two-year maturation period. Cohiba implements a third fermentation stage during aging, a method exclusive to Cuban cigar production, which refines the tobacco’s chemical balance.
Measuring 46 ring gauge x 143 mm, the Cohiba Siglo IV follows the Corona Gorda vitola. Its flavor progression starts with creamy sweetness and subtle floral notes, transitioning to mocha and roasted bean undertones. The blend incorporates selected leaves from the Vuelta Abajo region’s San Juan y Martínez and San Luis districts.
