Padron Cigars

Padron cigars are handcrafted in Nicaragua using sun-grown tobacco from family-owned farms. The brand's Nicaraguan puros contain 100% locally sourced tobacco aged in bales for 2-3 years before rolling.

Production Details

The cigars are manufactured in Estelí, Nicaragua using a 14-step process that includes:

  • Double fermentation of filler leaves
  • Book-style binder application
  • Triple cap finishing

Tobacco Characteristics

Padron's maduro wrappers undergo extended fermentation periods up to 5 years, developing an oscuro color through natural oxidation. The filler blend combines:

  • Volado leaves for combustion
  • Seco leaves for aroma
  • Ligero leaves for strength

Flavor Profile

The cigars deliver primary notes of:

  • 85% cacao dark chocolate
  • French roast coffee
  • Black cherry
Secondary flavors include toasted cedar and cashew, supported by a mineral-rich ash density of 1.8g/cm³.

Padron maintains humidity levels between 62-65% during box pressing, creating the signature square-pressed shape that promotes even combustion.
