The Warped Cocodrilo Toro Cigar originates from Kyle Gellis' inspiration by Cuba’s crocodile-shaped Isla del Cocodrilo. This 6x50 Toro-sized cigar uses a Nicaraguan long-filler core with double binders from Ecuador and Brazil, wrapped in Ecuadorian Habano leaf. Nicaraguan artisans handcraft the blend at Aganorsa Leaf facilities, combining tobaccos from Jalapa and Estelí regions.
The cigar’s combustion properties include a consistent burn rate and ash retention lasting 1.5-2 inches. Primary flavor components progress through three stages:
- Initial notes: Cedar, almond, white pepper (8-15 puffs)
- Mid-section: Caramel sweetness (0.3-0.7 nicotine strength), cocoa powder, lemon zest
- Final third: Leather, espresso bitterness (65-70% intensity), floral accents
Physical characteristics show a 0.8-1.1mm wrapper thickness with visible toothiness. The 50-ring gauge produces smoke volumes averaging 35-45 cubic centimeters per draw. Cold draw tests indicate 1.2-1.5 pounds of suction resistance, requiring 2-3 initial puffs for optimal airflow.
Production specifications include 18-month aged Nicaraguan ligero leaves in the filler and Brazilian Mata Fina binder cured for 14 months. The Ecuadorian Habano wrapper undergoes 24-26 fermentation cycles at 70-75% humidity before rolling. Box-pressed construction maintains 89-92% compression density.
