The La Galera Anemoi Toro Cigar forms part of a series honoring the Anemoi, wind deities from Greek mythology. Created by Dominican cigarmaker José "Jochy" Blanco, the line utilizes tobaccos grown on his farms. Filler blends combine Criollo 98 and Piloto Cubano from La Canela, bound by a Corojo leaf from Jacagua. A dark Connecticut broadleaf wrapper, aged for multiple years, completes the construction.
Four regular-production sizes correspond to specific wind gods: Boreas (4¾"x46), Eurus (5½"x48), Notos (5"x56), and Zephyrus (6"x60). The La Galera Anemoi Toro Cigar represents the fifth variant, measuring 6⅜"x52. All cigars ship in 20-count boxes from Tabacalera Palma factory in the Dominican Republic.
Construction and Blend Details
For the La Galera Anemoi Toro Cigar, Blanco selected an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper over Dominican filler tobaccos from Cibao Valley. The blend progression reveals earth and spice foundations with secondary notes of leather and coffee. Combustion characteristics include consistent draw and even ash formation.
- Wrapper: Ecuadorian Habano
- Binder: Dominican Corojo
- Filler: Criollo 98/Piloto Cubano mix
Production focuses on gradual flavor development, transitioning from pepper and wood tones to a subtle sweet finish. The medium-bodied profile positions the La Galera Anemoi Toro Cigar as accessible to both experienced enthusiasts and those exploring Dominican tobacco expressions.
