The La Galera Anemoi Toro Cigar utilizes Dominican tobaccos grown by José "Jochy" Blanco. The filler combines Criollo 98 and Piloto Cubano from La Canela, while the binder consists of Corojo from Jacagua. A dark Connecticut broadleaf wrapper aged for multiple years completes the blend.
Construction and Sizing
Produced at Tabacalera Palma factory in the Dominican Republic, the La Galera Anemoi Toro Cigar measures 5½" x 48 ring gauge. Four core sizes honor Anemoi wind deities:
- Boreas (4¾"x46)
- Eurus (5½"x48)
- Notos (5"x56)
- Zephyrus (6"x60)
An additional 6⅜"x52 Anemoi size represents the full collection. All cigars ship in 20-count boxes.
Smoking Characteristics
The La Galera Anemoi Toro Cigar features an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper over Dominican filler tobaccos from Cibao Valley. The combustion properties include consistent draw and even burn rate. Flavor transitions through earth, leather, and spice notes with coffee-cocoa undertones, concluding with wood and pepper accents.
José Blanco's design employs wind-resistant cultivation techniques for tobacco grown in Dominican fields. The Connecticut broadleaf wrapper's extended aging process contributes to the cigar's combustion stability and flavor development.
