Description

Crafted by cigar maker Jochy Blanco at Tabacalera Palma, the La Galera Maduro Cortador Torpedo uses a dark brown Mexican San Andres wrapper paired with a Dominican binder. Its filler combines Dominican Piloto Cubano and Criollo ’98 tobaccos, producing flavors of cocoa, earth, leather, and cedar. The torpedo shape measures 6" x 52 with a closed foot and tapered head for precise airflow control.

The La Galera Maduro Cortador Torpedo features an Ecuadorian Maduro wrapper cultivated in the Andean foothills, characterized by its dark color and oily texture. This envelops a Dominican Olor binder and filler blend containing aged Piloto Cubano leaf from Blanco’s Santiago-based farms. The cigar’s 12-month fermentation process enhances combustion stability and flavor integration.

Initial draws reveal earthy tones with black pepper spice, transitioning to mid-smoke notes of roasted coffee beans and bitter chocolate. The final third introduces cedar wood accents through the tapered head. Smoke output measures 25% above industry average density according to 2023 manufacturer testing.

  • Primary flavors: Cocoa powder, mineral earth, black pepper
  • Secondary notes: Roasted coffee, cedar wood, leather
  • Combustion properties: 58-minute average burn time, 1.5mm ash retention

Rolled in Santiago’s Tabacalera Palma facility, the La Galera Maduro Cortador Torpedo undergoes triple-cap finishing for draw consistency. Each cigar is weight-sorted to maintain 14-16g specifications, with box-pressed variants available in 20-count bundles.
