Originally launched after a brief delay, the Montecristo 80 Aniversario is distributed exclusively through Havana Cigar Specialists in the UK. The brand traces its origins to 1935, when founders Alonso Menendez and José Garcia began production in Havana’s Particulares factory. Its name derives from Alexandre Dumas’ 1844 novel The Count of Montecristo, which was read aloud to cigar rollers during work sessions.
