Released to commemorate the 520th anniversary of Columbus' New World voyage, the Montecristo 520 Cigar (2012 Limited Edition) measures 152mm (6") in length with a 55 ring gauge. This Cuban cigar uses aged tobacco leaves rolled under expert supervision at Havana's H. Upmann factory.

Construction and Specifications

The Maduro wrapper appears dark and oil-rich, concealing long-filler tobacco from Vuelta Abajo's premium growing regions. The 55 ring gauge allows gradual smoke development while maintaining structural integrity through the 90-minute smoking duration.

Flavor Profile and Smoking Experience

Initial third reveals cocoa and cedar notes through the Montecristo 520 Cigar's open draw. Mid-section transitions to roasted nuts and leather tones, supported by a combustion temperature of 22-24°C. Final third intensifies with these characteristics:

• Pepper undertones from Seco leaves
• Caramel sweetness from Volado binders
• Oak accents from 3-year fermented wrappers
