The La Galera Imperial Jade Corona represents the sixth release in the La Galera series and marks the first use of a Cameroon wrapper by Jochy Blanco. This cigar combines a warm brown Cameroon wrapper with a Dominican Criollo binder and a filler blend of Criollo 98 and Piloto Cubano tobaccos. The 5 1/2 x 44 Corona format provides focused flavor delivery in a compact size. Manufactured at Tabacalera Palma in the Dominican Republic, the medium-strength blend emphasizes balance through its Dominican core and aged filler leaves.

The Cameroon wrapper contributes natural oils and a subtle sweetness, paired with a Criollo 98 binder for structural depth. Filler tobaccos include Dominican Piloto Cubano, known for earthy tones, and Criollo 98, which adds spice complexity. Initial flavors feature cedar and toasted almond, transitioning to cream, cocoa, and leather mid-smoke. Secondary notes of dried fruit and baking spice emerge, supported by a consistent burn and medium-bodied intensity.

Construction details highlight the 44-ring gauge for optimal combustion and a 90-minute average smoking duration. The La Galera Imperial Jade Corona uses a rare Cameroon wrapper variant cured for 18 months to enhance oil retention. Tabacalera Palma’s rolling process ensures even draw resistance, with box-pressed shaping for improved airflow management. This release maintains Blanco’s focus on Dominican-grown tobaccos, utilizing Piloto Cubano from the Santiago region’s 2018 harvest.
