The Montecristo Open J Cigar features two distinct formats within its Open Series lineup. The Robusto variant measures 5 1/4 inches (133 mm) with a 42-ring gauge, while the Trabuco format has a 38-ring gauge and 4 3/8-inch length. Both cigars use Cuban-grown Vuelta Abajo tobaccos, known for their balanced combustion and consistent draw.

In the Robusto size, the Montecristo Open J delivers cedar and roasted coffee notes accompanied by cocoa undertones. The blend transitions to subtle earthy tones with a residual sweetness. The Trabuco version presents creamier textures with fresh herbal accents, evolving into toasted nut flavors and mild spices. Neither format requires artificial sweeteners or flavor enhancers.
