Description

The Highclere Castle Senetjer Cigar was crafted to mark the 100th anniversary of the discovery of King Tutankhamun’s tomb. This archaeological achievement, led by Howard Carter and funded by George Herbert (5th Earl of Carnarvon), connects directly to the current 8th Earl of Carnarvon and Highclere Castle. The cigar’s creation honors this historical milestone through collaborative design and material selection.

Artifact-Inspired Design

Developed in partnership with the Herbert family, the cigar’s packaging replicates artifacts from Tutankhamun’s tomb. A hieroglyphic inscription translating to "Highclere Castle" adorns the box. The name Senetjer, derived from the ancient Egyptian word for incense, reflects its thematic ties to ceremonial traditions.

Tobacco Composition

The Highclere Castle Senetjer Cigar uses an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper with high-priming leaves, paired with a Brazilian Mata Fina binder. Its undisclosed filler blend underwent three years of aging prior to rolling. The cigar is shaped as a 6¾" x 52 perfecto, a format chosen for its tapered construction and smoke dynamics.

Production Details

This limited-edition release saw a global production of 700 boxes. Each box contains cigars constructed with exacting standards, ensuring consistent combustion and draw performance. The blend’s components emphasize aged tobaccos, with the wrapper selected for its oil content and durability.
