Produced in collaboration with Foundation Cigar Company, the Highclere Castle Victorian Toro Cigar draws inspiration from 19th-century cigar traditions associated with the historic English estate. Hand-rolled in Estelí, Nicaragua, this 6x52 Toro vitola features an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper grown from upper priming leaves, paired with a Nicaraguan binder and filler blend containing Criollo and Corojo tobaccos cultivated in volcanic soils of Estelí, Jalapa, and Ometepe Island.
Tobacco Composition & Construction
Master Blender Nick Melillo utilizes aged Nicaraguan leaves for the binder and filler. The cigar’s structure ensures a consistent burn line with dense ash formation, while the open draw produces voluminous smoke output. Combustion properties remain stable across the 90-minute smoking duration.
Flavor Development
- Initial third: Cedar and roasted almond notes with honey undertones
- Mid-section: Dark cocoa, espresso, and cinnamon spice emergence
- Final third: Earthy leather and nutmeg transition to oak-dominated finish
The Highclere Castle Victorian Toro maintains medium-bodied strength throughout, balancing Nicaraguan pepper intensity with residual sweetness from the Habano wrapper. This release commemorates Highclere Castle’s cigar heritage through precise blending techniques and material selection.
