The Cohiba Panetelas cigar, originally crafted in 1969, was exclusively distributed to Cuban officials and diplomatic recipients until its commercial release 13 years later. This Laguito No.3 vitola measures 117 mm in length with a ring gauge of 26, delivering a compact format with intensified flavor concentration. The blend features prominent roasted bean characteristics accompanied by earthy leather undertones, aligning it with the Cohiba Classic Range while distinguishing itself through bolder base notes.

Developed under the supervision of Fidel Castro’s personal security detail, the Cohiba Panetelas utilizes the same aged filler and binder tobaccos as other Cohiba lines, including Seco and Ligero leaves from the Vuelta Abajo region. The cigar’s combustion consistency and draw mechanics adhere to the technical standards established at El Laguito factory, maintaining the brand’s hallmark construction quality.
