The Partagás Línea Maestra Origen measures 6 1/8 inches (Corona Gorda) with a 46 ring gauge. It uses tobacco exclusively cultivated in Cuba’s San Luis region of Pinar del Río. The blend delivers cedar, leather, earth, coffee bean, and maple flavors within a medium-to-full-bodied profile. Each cigar features dual bands: a primary blue band with the vitola name and a supplementary foot band.
Linea Maestra Collection Context
This release follows the 2018 Partagás Línea Maduro, marking the brand’s second line expansion. The Línea Maestra joins Habanos’ premium series lineage, analogous to Cohiba Behike (2010), Montecristo Línea 1935 (2017), and Romeo y Julieta Línea de Oro (2020).
Vitola Design Features
The collection includes three exclusive vitolas:
- Origen
- Rito
- Maestro
All feature the “Cabeza Tumbada” head style, last seen on the 2015 Ramon Allones Hunters & Frankau 225th Anniversary cigar. This tapered cap design references historical Partagás 109 vitolas from commemorative humidors.
Tobacco Sourcing Innovation
For the first time in Habanos S.A. history, the entire Partagás Línea Maestra range uses tobacco solely from San Luis farms. This regional specificity enhances aromatic complexity while maintaining the brand’s traditional full-bodied intensity.
Packaging Details
Boxes contain 20 cigars housed in high-gloss blue lacquered packaging. The blue theme extends to each cigar’s bands, distinguishing the line from standard Partagás releases.
