Description

The Cohiba Siglo VI Cigar debuted in 2002 as part of the Siglo series, commemorating the 500th anniversary of Columbus’s arrival in Cuba. Named after the indigenous term for cured tobacco leaves, this Robusto Extra measures 5.9 inches in length with a 52-ring gauge. It features a Corojo tobacco wrapper cultivated in Vuelta Abajo’s premier fields and is handcrafted by Cuban torcedores using traditional techniques.

Construction and Flavor Profile

The Cohiba Siglo VI Cigar combines a medium-to-full strength profile with a blend of aged seco and ligero leaves. Primary flavors include:

  • Earthy undertones
  • Leather and cedar wood notes
  • Subtle cocoa and black pepper accents

Its triple-fermented filler ensures consistent combustion, while the dense ash structure supports a 90-minute smoking duration. The tapered head design facilitates an unobstructed draw.

Packaging and Availability

Sold in boxes of 25 cigars, the Cohiba Siglo VI uses lacquered Spanish cedar packaging with gold embossing. Each unit bears Habanos S.A.’s authenticity seal and factory code. Limited annual production volumes reinforce its collector status among Cuban cigar enthusiasts.
