The Cohiba Siglo IV, released in 1992 as part of the Siglo series, commemorates the 500th anniversary of Columbus’s arrival in Cuba. This Corona Gorda-sized cigar (46 ring gauge x 143mm length) undergoes a third fermentation process exclusive to Cuban tobacco, requiring two years of maturation before international distribution began in 1994.
Production Details
The Cohiba Siglo IV shares construction methods with other Siglo variants, using filler and binder leaves from Cuba’s Vuelta Abajo region. The extended fermentation contributes to its flavor complexity through natural chemical changes in the tobacco.
