The Hiram & Solomon Traveling Man Robusto is crafted at Plasencia’s Esteli-based factory in Nicaragua. Developed in collaboration with David Blanco of Blanco Cigars, its blend incorporates Indonesian Sumatra leaf for the filler – a rare choice compared to more common Ecuadorian Sumatra variants. The cigar combines an Indonesian binder with a multi-national wrapper blend featuring Brazilian, Dominican, and Nicaraguan tobaccos.
Measuring 5 x 52, this Robusto format utilizes Nicaraguan and Dominican filler tobaccos wrapped in an Ecuadorian Habano leaf. The smoking experience transitions through distinct flavor phases: initial notes of spice and cedar evolve into earthy undertones with pepper accents. Secondary layers reveal coffee bean characteristics and nutty textures, concluding with subtle leather tones.
- Primary flavors: Cedar, black pepper, cocoa
- Mid-profile: Roasted coffee, toasted nuts
- Final third: Earth tones, aged leather
Construction parameters include a consistent burn pattern and stable ash formation. The open draw facilitates steady smoke output. Designed for extended sessions, the Traveling Man Robusto suits both solo relaxation and social gatherings.
