The Rocky Patel Grand Reserve Robusto debuted in April 2018 during the Mountain on Fire event in the Austrian Alps. Currently exclusive to European markets, this cigar features a confidential blend of aged tobaccos from Rocky Patel’s reserves. Post-production, the cigars underwent a two-year aging process. The line includes three vitolas: Robusto (5.5" x 50), Toro (6" x 52), and Sixty (6" x 60).

Measuring 5.5 inches with a 50-ring gauge, the Grand Reserve Robusto uses an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper noted for its smooth texture and subtle oil sheen. The binder and filler composition remains undisclosed, though Rocky Patel confirms the inclusion of vintage tobaccos to achieve balanced complexity.

Initial flavors present cedar and earthy underturns with mild peppercorn spice. Mid-profile transitions reveal roasted coffee beans, toasted almond, and cocoa powder. Secondary notes include caramelized sugar and baking spices, while retrohale nuances feature cinnamon and nutmeg. The cigar maintains a medium-bodied strength throughout.

Construction parameters showcase tight seams, a firm ash retention, and consistent smoke output. The combustion line remains even with minimal relight requirements. Draw resistance falls within optimal parameters, requiring 15-20 minutes between puffs to prevent overheating.
