The Trinidad Vigia Cigar originates from a brand initially reserved for diplomatic use before its 1998 public release. Unlike the elongated Fundadores, this 2021 addition measures 4 3/8 inches (130mm) with a 54-ring gauge, featuring a pigtail cap and broad proportions. Its binder and filler incorporate Vuelta Abajo tobacco from Cuba’s Pinar del Río region, aged for optimal combustion and flavor delivery.

The Trinidad Vigia opens with earthy truffle and oak wood notes, transitioning to roasted coffee and leather mid-session. A nutty undertone persists through the final third, accompanied by emerging pepper spices and dark chocolate hints. The larger ring gauge generates ample smoke output, balanced by a medium-to-full strength profile suited for extended sessions.

Wrapped in a semi-oily Colorado capa leaf, the Trinidad Vigia Cigar maintains structural integrity with minimal touch-ups required. Its name derives from historical watchtowers in Trinidad, Cuba, reflecting the brand’s regional heritage. The Box of 12 configuration uses lacquered finish cabinets for humidity control and long-term storage.
