The Warped Cocodrilo Corona Gorda Cigar derives its name from Cuba’s crocodile-shaped Isla del Cocodrilo, serving as inspiration for creator Kyle Gellis. This Nicaraguan-made cigar combines a core of Nicaraguan tobacco with double binders from Ecuador and Brazil, wrapped in an Ecuadorian Habano leaf. Measuring 5 5/8" in length with a 46-ring gauge, the Corona Gorda format delivers a medium to full-bodied profile characterized by precise construction and consistent combustion.
Hand-rolled using Aganorsa Leaf materials, the blend features an aged Ecuadorian Habano wrapper with visible oil content. The binder and filler consist of Nicaraguan tobaccos selected for combustion properties and flavor integration. Primary tasting notes include:
- Cedar and white pepper in the initial third
- Toasted nuts and cocoa mid-profile
- Leather and roasted coffee in the final third
Construction details reveal box-pressed edges and a closed foot design, contributing to the cigar’s slow burn rate and tight ash formation. The smoking duration averages 75-90 minutes, with flavor transitions marked by subtle vanilla undertones and citrus zest accents. Nicaraguan rolling techniques ensure minimal relights and even smoke output throughout the session.
