The Tabernacle Broadleaf Torpedo features a USA Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper with an oily texture, paired with a Mexican San Andres binder and Nicaraguan-Honduran filler. Handcrafted at AJ Fernandez’s Tabacalera Fernandez factory in Nicaragua, this cigar delivers a full-bodied profile dominated by dark chocolate, earth, leather, and spice.
Measuring 4½" x 52, the torpedo shape concentrates flavors through a tapered head. The Connecticut River Valley-grown Broadleaf wrapper contributes to its dark appearance and slow-burning characteristics. Nicaraguan filler tobaccos create a layered combustion that progresses from earthy cocoa notes to subtle pepper accents.
- Primary flavors: Dark chocolate, espresso beans, cured leather
- Secondary elements: Oak undertones, white pepper finish
- Construction: Firm pack with minimal vein visibility
Combustion performance shows consistent ash formation with a 60-75 minute burn time. The open draw requires minimal relights when smoked at 68-72% humidity levels. Pairing compatibility extends to aged rums or high-proof bourbons that complement the cigar’s sweet earthiness.
