Produced at Tabacalera Díaz Cabrera in the Dominican Republic under Eladio Díaz, former master blender for Davidoff of Geneva, the Freud AlterEgo Toro Cigar features a Mexican San Andrés wrapper paired with an Indonesian Sumatra binder. Its filler comprises 100% Dominican-grown tobaccos. The 6" x 52 Toro format provides extended smoking time with consistent combustion properties.
The Freud AlterEgo Toro Cigar delivers sequential flavor development across three combustion phases:
- Initial Third: Cedar, almond, and vanilla notes emerge from the cold draw through the first inch
- Middle Third: Earth tones intensify alongside espresso and bittersweet cocoa elements
- Final Third: Matured leather and dried fruit undertones transition to white pepper finish
Construction utilizes aged Dominican Piloto, Olor, and San Vicente filler tobaccos rolled in Sumatra binder leaf. The Freud AlterEgo Toro Cigar maintains medium-bodied strength with combustion characteristics averaging 75-90 minute burn time. Open draw architecture facilitates 20-25°C smoke output at standard puff intervals.
