The Highclere Castle Victorian Toro Cigar draws inspiration from 19th-century cigar traditions associated with Highclere Castle, the filming location of Downton Abbey. Handcrafted in Estelí, Nicaragua, this 6x52 Toro features an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper cultivated from upper primings. The blend combines Criollo and Corojo tobaccos sourced from Estelí’s volcanic soils, Jalapa Valley, and Ometepe Island.
Master Blender Nick Melillo of Foundation Cigar Company developed the construction using aged Nicaraguan binder and filler leaves. The cigar opens with cedar and roasted almond notes accompanied by subtle honey undertones. Mid-profile flavors transition to dark cocoa, espresso, and cinnamon, followed by earthy leather and nutmeg in the second half. A restrained black pepper accent emerges before concluding with oak and spice tones.
