The Villa Casdagli Robusto Cigar measures 5 inches in length with a 50-ring gauge. Developed through a mejorado improvement process, its tobaccos undergo secondary fermentation in a pilon for 2-4 months. Two Peruvian filler tobaccos contribute sweetness and molasses notes to the blend.
Constructed with an Ecuadorian wrapper and Peruvian binder, the cigar combines fillers from Dominican Republic, Nicaragua, and Peru. The blend transitions through three distinct phases:
- Initial notes: Cedar, toasted almonds, sweet spices
- Mid-section flavors: Creamy caramel, dark cocoa, dried fruit
- Final third profile: Leather, espresso, black pepper
Handcrafted in Costa Rica, the Villa Casdagli Robusto maintains consistent combustion with a razor-sharp burn line. The open draw facilitates even smoke production throughout the 50-minute smoking duration. This box-pressed format ships in 12-count boxes, packaged with a cedar wood tray for humidity control.
Wrapper origin and fermentation methods directly influence the cigar's medium-to-full body characteristics. The extended pilon fermentation creates smoother combustion properties compared to standard aging techniques.
