In 1946, Zino Davidoff created a cigar line inspired by wine-making principles, emphasizing soil and climate influences on tobacco. The Davidoff Grand Cru Diademas Finas Limited Edition Cigar revives this concept with a figurado format, marking the first Grand Cru release in this shape. Its filler includes Dominican San Vicente tobacco aged in Premier Grand Cru Classé red wine casks, enhancing absorption of cask-derived aromas.

The blend combines Dominican San Vicente seco, ligero, and viso leaves. The wine cask aging process introduces fruity nuances reminiscent of aged red wine, supported by a Mexican San Andrés binder and Ecuadorian Habano wrapper. The cigar measures 6 3/4 inches (161mm) with a 50-ring gauge, designed for extended combustion and flavor development.

Flavor progression:

• Initial third: Citrus notes transition to pepper and roasted nuts, balanced by creamy textures.
• Second third: Dominant dark cherry aromas emerge, accompanied by oak and earthy undertones from the wine cask-aged San Vicente seco.

Production of the Davidoff Grand Cru Diademas Finas Limited Edition Cigar is restricted to 10,000 boxes globally. The Ecuadorian Habano wrapper features a golden hue, while the structured draw ensures consistent smoke output. Boxes include a cedar lining to preserve aroma integrity during storage.
