The Davidoff Royal Release line features two vitolas: the Robusto (5 1/2 x 55) and Salomones (8 1/4 x 57). These dimensions correspond to the discontinued Royal Robusto and Royal Salomones cigars, which served as Davidoff's primary offerings prior to the 2014 Oro Blanco release.

The Royal Release Salomones employs a different wrapper than its predecessors, transitioning from standard Ecuadorian leaf to specially curated Aromatica Dominicana bales. Davidoff's tobacco masters hand-selected these wrapper leaves before initiating an 8-year minimum aging process.

Craftsmanship Details

Eight master torcedores with 15+ years of experience each handle production. Collectively, these artisans have rolled over 7 million cigars throughout their careers. Each box includes a certificate signed by Hendrik Kelner and the two rollers responsible for its contents.

Production numbers remain undisclosed, though the limited workforce and extensive aging protocol suggest constrained availability. The Royal Release Salomones measures 8 1/4 inches in length with a 57 ring gauge, maintaining traditional salomon proportions.
