The Davidoff Grand Cru Diademas Finas Limited Edition Cigar traces its origins to Zino Davidoff’s 1946 concept of blending cigars inspired by wine craftsmanship. This figurado-shaped cigar incorporates Dominican San Vicente filler tobacco aged in Premier Grand Cru Classé red wine casks, marking the brand’s first Grand Cru format with wine-cask-aged components.

Construction & Blend

Measuring 161mm (6 3/4") with a 50-ring gauge, the Davidoff Grand Cru Diademas Finas uses a golden Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper. The filler combines three Dominican tobaccos, including wine-cask-aged San Vicente seco leaves selected for their absorption of oak and fruit aromas from Bordeaux wine barrels.

Tasting Notes

• Initial third: Citrus notes transition to pepper and roasted nuts
• Second third: Dominant dark cherry aromas with oak and earth undertones
• Final third: Walnut intensity accompanied by fresh spice and vanilla

Aging Process

The San Vicente seco filler undergoes 18-month fermentation before 30-month aging in French oak wine casks. This process imparts structural complexity while maintaining the cigar’s balanced draw and 90-minute combustion time.

Limited to 15,000 boxes globally, each Davidoff Grand Cru Diademas Finas comes in lacquered boxes of 10. The tapered head design facilitates even smoke distribution, with the cigar’s 50-ring gauge supporting gradual flavor development.
