Hoyo De Monterrey Epicure Especial Cigar – Box of 25

Introduced at the 2008 Habanos Festival, the Hoyo de Monterrey Epicure Especial expanded the brand’s portfolio following the success of the Epicure No. 2. Originally released as a 2004 Edición Limitada, this Cuban cigar measures 5 1/2 inches (140mm) in length with a 50-ring gauge. The blend incorporates aged tobacco leaves, producing a medium-bodied profile with evolving flavors of coffee, cocoa powder, and earthy undertones, complemented by subtle graham cracker sweetness.

The Epicure Especial features a consistent burn and firm ash, attributed to its triple-seam cap and seamless wrapper construction. During combustion, initial cedar and leather notes transition to creamy textures, followed by toasted nuts and spice. In the final third, darker elements of earth and bittersweet chocolate emerge without overwhelming strength.
