The Hoyo de Monterrey Year of the Ox Limited Edition Cigar commemorates the 2021 Chinese New Year, produced in a global release of 8,888 numbered boxes. Following the 2020 Romeo y Julieta Maravillas 8 (Year of the Rat), this marks the second zodiac-themed cigar from Habanos S.A. Each cigar features a 167mm x 48 ring gauge Hermosos No.1 vitola, dressed with a unique "Year of the Ox" foot band.

The blend uses aged tobacco from Cuba’s Vuelta Abajo region, wrapped in an oily Colorado leaf. Flavor progression includes:

• Initial earthy tones
• Mid-smoke notes of cedar and cream
• Final third transitions to leather and roasted coffee

Packaging showcases a lacquered box emblazoned with the zodiac ox design, containing 18 individually numbered cigars. The 48-ring gauge construction promotes consistent airflow, while the triple-seam cap facilitates an even burn.

As a Limited Edition release, production quantities align with Habanos’ standard regional allocation system. The 8,888-box output ensures scarcity, with secondary market valuations typically exceeding original pricing within 12 months of discontinuation.
