The El Septimo France Bordeaux Chateau Zaya Gordo Cigar from the Culinary Art Collection combines Bordeaux wine heritage with cigar craftsmanship. Its tobacco undergoes aging in French oak barrels previously used for Bordeaux wines at Zaya Younan’s vineyards, imparting subtle fermented grape nuances. The blend incorporates five filler tobaccos, including two varieties specifically conditioned in emptied wine casks.

This 6" x 60 Gordo format utilizes an Ecuadorian Habano Oscuro wrapper and Nicaraguan binder. The wine barrel aging process modifies the tobacco’s chemical profile through interaction with residual wine compounds and oak tannins. Flavor transitions occur across thirds, beginning with dried fruit undertones before revealing earthy tones and finishing with cedar spice.
