The Cohiba Robusto maintains its position as a cornerstone of Cuban cigar history. Originating in 1966 as a private reserve for Fidel Castro, the brand initially produced only the Lancero vitola before commercial expansion. Cohiba debuted in international markets during the 1989 global release, with the Robusto introduced as the brand’s thickest format at the time.
