The RoMa Craft Aquitaine Cranium combines Nicaraguan and Dominican fillers with a Cameroon binder, wrapped in an Ecuador Habano Ligero leaf. The ligero wrapper, sourced from eighth and ninth priming tobacco, exhibits thick, oily texture. Filler tobaccos originate from three Nicaraguan regions: Esteli, Condega, and Pueblo Nuevo. The Pueblo Nuevo ligero contributes smoky, savory notes, while the Cameroon binder adds spice. This blend contrasts with the Connecticut Broadleaf Maduro-wrapped CroMagnon line, emphasizing brighter tones through the Habano wrapper’s peppery character.
Physical Design and Dimensions
This 6 x 54 double-tapered vitola features a rounded head and tapered foot. The shape promotes consistent airflow, enhancing flavor delivery. The Connecticut Broadleaf Maduro wrapper’s dark, oily surface contributes to the cigar’s visual distinction and combustion properties.
Flavor Development
Initial notes include dark chocolate and espresso, transitioning to leather and earth mid-smoke. A peppery spice persists throughout, balanced by subtle sweetness from the Habano wrapper. Strength progresses from medium to full-bodied, with no dominant nicotine harshness.
Construction and Burn Quality
The Aquitaine Cranium maintains a stable ash structure with minimal touch-ups required. Combustion remains even across the tapered profile, allowing sequential flavor evolution. Draw resistance stays low despite the 54-ring gauge foot, attributed to the dual-tapered rolling technique.
