Released in 2002 to commemorate the 500th anniversary of Columbus' arrival in Cuba, the Cohiba Siglo VI Cigar completes the Siglo series. This Robusto Extra measures 150mm (5 7/8") with a 52-ring gauge, using Corojo wrapper leaves from Cuba's Vuelta Abajo region. The blend incorporates aged tobaccos processed through Cohiba's double-fermentation method.
The Cohiba Siglo VI construction features a tripa of hand-selected leaves from San Juan y Martínez farms. Primary flavor components include roasted coffee beans, dark cocoa powder, and aged cedar wood. Mid-smoke reveals earthy tones with occasional pepper accents, transitioning to a leathery finish with natural sweetness from the volado leaves.
- Box configuration: 10 cigars in lacquered cabinet-style box
- Combustion: 85-100 minute smoke time
- Humidity control: Spanish cedar lining maintains 65-68% RH
Production of the Cohiba Siglo VI Cigar occurs at El Laguito factory under Habanos SA's strict quality protocols. The box includes individual cedar sleeves and a certificate of authenticity with factory code verification. This format meets HSA's 2023 packaging standards for export markets.
