The Plasencia Cosecha 151 La Tradición Toro commemorates the Plasencia family’s 151st tobacco harvest in 2016. This Honduran puro uses exclusively farm-grown tobaccos from the family’s Nicaraguan and Honduran estates. Measuring 5 7/8” x 54 ring gauge, the Toro format features a dark maduro wrapper aged for 5-7 years.
- Origin: Fully Honduran-grown tobaccos from Plasencia farms
- Construction: Triple-fermented maduro wrapper with aged binder/filler leaves
- Flavor Notes: Earth, espresso beans, roasted nuts, and dark chocolate
- Combustion: Engineered for slow burn with consistent ash formation
The cigar’s blend combines leaves from Jamastran and Talanga valleys, with filler tobaccos aged 5+ years. The maduro wrapper undergoes extended fermentation to develop its oily texture and sweet undertones. During combustion, the cigar produces a dense smoke output with balanced acidity.
Packaged in boxes of 10, each cigar is hand-rolled at Plasencia’s Honduran factory using traditional entubado bunching. The box design features gold foil stamping with the “151” harvest anniversary insignia. Storage recommendations include maintaining 65-68% relative humidity for optimal aging potential.
