The Plasencia Cosecha 149 La Vega Robusto uses Honduran tobacco from the family’s 149th harvest in 2014, aged for seven years. Its blend combines an Olancho San Agustín wrapper, Jamastran binder, and fillers from Jamastran, Talanga, and Olancho regions. Rolled at Plasencia’s Tabacos de Oriente factory in Honduras, the cigar measures 5” x 52 with Nicaraguan filler and binder tobaccos from the Cosecha 149 harvest, wrapped in Habano leaf.
The flavor profile progresses from cedar, pepper, and leather to coffee, nuts, and toasted wood. The construction features an even burn and smooth draw, with tobacco grown in Plasencia family farms known for volcanic soil cultivation methods. Primary materials include:
- Wrapper: Olancho San Agustín (Honduras)
- Binder: Jamastran (Honduras)
- Filler: Jamastran, Talanga, Olancho (Honduras)
This medium-to-full-bodied cigar is produced in limited quantities due to the finite 2014 harvest tobacco supply. The aging process and regional tobacco blending reflect Plasencia’s multi-generational expertise in leaf selection and fermentation techniques.
