Sovereign Cigarettes

Sovereign Cigarettes are British tobacco products under Japan Tobacco International (JTI), operating in the UK's ultra-value segment since 1996. Originally launched by Gallaher Group before JTI's 2007 acquisition, the brand provides multiple variants: Sovereign Blue in King Size (84mm) and Superkings (100mm) formats, Sovereign Sky Blue as a lighter King Size option, and Sovereign New Dual featuring a post-2020 UK menthol ban innovation. The New Dual variant utilizes a split-pack design with two 10-cigarette compartments and a Flow Tech filter, enabling users to insert menthol flavor cards for customized taste. All Sovereign Cigarettes come in rigid packs containing 20 units, distinguished by white packaging with color-variant striping and a central crown emblem.

Gallagher Company, known for brands like Benson & Hedges and Silk Cut, developed Sovereign Cigarettes to complement its premium portfolio. The products employ Virginia tobacco blends processed through air-cured methods, with cellulose acetate filters across all variants. Packaging materials consist of recyclable cardboard for outer boxes and foil-lined inner liners. The New Dual's Flow Tech filter integrates triple-layer filtration technology, combining standard cellulose with activated charcoal and flavor-release chambers.
